4. Product Information and Descriptions

We aim to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, model numbers, dimensions, technical specifications, and prices are accurate.

Customers should carefully review product specifications before ordering.

Product photographs are intended to illustrate the item being offered. Where a photograph includes optional accessories or shows a different configuration, the product description and confirmed quotation will identify what is included.

We will correct material errors when identified and communicate any relevant changes before an affected order is fulfilled.

5. Product Availability

All orders are subject to stock availability.

Where a product is unavailable, we will notify the customer and offer an appropriate alternative or refund.

Customers will not be required to accept substitute products without their agreement.

Where goods cannot be supplied, refunds will be handled within applicable statutory timeframes.

6. Prices and Currency

All website prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR).

Prices must clearly indicate whether VAT is included or excluded, as applicable to the business's VAT registration status.

Any mandatory charges, delivery costs, and applicable taxes will be disclosed before the customer completes a purchase.

We reserve the right to update prices for future orders. Price changes will not automatically alter the agreed price of an accepted order.

7. Quotations

Written quotations may be provided for machinery, commercial equipment, bulk orders, and specialised products.

Unless otherwise stated, quotations remain valid for 7 calendar days from the date of issue.

A quotation is subject to the stated stock availability, specifications, delivery arrangements, and payment conditions.

An order is accepted once the relevant order confirmation has been issued.

8. Placing an Order

Customers may place orders through our website or other authorised sales channels.

Customers must provide accurate information, including:

  • Full name or company name

  • Contact information

  • Billing details

  • Delivery address

  • Correct product selection

  • Any required technical specifications

Customers are responsible for reviewing their order details before submitting payment.

9. Order Confirmation

After an order is submitted, the customer may receive an automated acknowledgement.

An automated acknowledgement does not necessarily confirm stock allocation or acceptance of an order.

We will confirm acceptance or notify the customer of any material issue affecting fulfilment.

If an order cannot be accepted after payment has been received, an appropriate refund will be arranged.

10. Payment Methods

Available payment methods will be displayed at checkout or confirmed on the customer's quotation or invoice.

Electronic funds transfer (EFT) may be offered.

Where EFT is used:

  • Customers must use the payment reference supplied.

  • Orders are processed after successful payment verification.

  • Proof of payment may be requested.

  • Goods will not be released for collection or dispatch until payment is confirmed, unless otherwise agreed.

Customers should make payments only to the verified account details provided through our official sales channels.

11. Unpaid Orders

Unpaid EFT orders may be cancelled after 3 business days if payment has not been received and no different deadline has been agreed.

Once an unpaid order expires, customers may request a new quotation or submit a new order.

Product prices and availability may change before the new order is accepted.

12. Shipping and Delivery

We deliver products throughout South Africa, subject to the product's size, destination, and transportation requirements.

Our standard estimated total delivery timeframe is 2–9 business days after payment confirmation, including processing and transportation.

Special-order, custom-built, oversized, or specialist-freight products may require a different delivery timeframe, which will be communicated before purchase.

Our Shipping & Delivery Policy provides further details.

13. Delivery Charges

Orders of R10,000 or more qualify for free standard delivery within South Africa, subject to the disclosed exceptions in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

Orders below R10,000 may attract delivery charges.

Additional charges for oversized, heavy, specialist, or remote-area deliveries will be disclosed and agreed upon before payment.

14. Warehouse Collection

Selected products may be collected from our Midrand, Gauteng warehouse by prior arrangement.

Our warehouse does not operate as a public showroom and does not accept unscheduled visits.

Customers collecting orders must provide:

  • Their order number

  • Proof of full payment

  • Suitable identification where required

Collection appointments are subject to confirmation.

15. Heavy Machinery and Installation

Industrial machinery and commercial equipment may require specialised transport, offloading, installation, electrical connections, or commissioning.

Unless expressly included in the product listing or quotation, these services are not included in the purchase price.

Customers must ensure that the installation site is suitable for the equipment, including applicable electrical, ventilation, access, and safety requirements.

Installation of equipment requiring professional certification must be carried out by appropriately qualified persons.

16. Order Cancellation

Customers may request cancellation before dispatch.

Eligible standard-stock orders cancelled before dispatch may be refunded without a cancellation fee.

Cancellation requests will normally receive a response within 1 business day.

Reasonable lawful cancellation charges may apply to custom-made or specially ordered equipment, subject to applicable legislation.

Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for further details.

17. Returns and Refunds

We offer a voluntary 30-calendar-day return period from delivery for eligible unused standard-stock products.

Products returned under this voluntary policy must meet the conditions set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

For approved voluntary returns, refunds will normally be initiated within 5 business days after inspection and approval.

Customers are responsible for change-of-mind return shipping costs where legally permitted.

Nothing in these terms restricts qualifying statutory cooling-off, defective-goods, or other mandatory consumer rights.

18. Product Warranties

Products may include manufacturer warranties, supplier warranties, or other expressly stated guarantees.

Warranty periods and coverage may vary by product and manufacturer.

Where the Consumer Protection Act applies, customers retain the statutory protections available for qualifying defective goods.

Warranty terms do not override mandatory consumer rights.

19. Damaged, Incorrect, or Defective Products

Customers are encouraged to inspect products upon delivery.

If an item arrives damaged, incomplete, incorrect, or defective, customers should contact us promptly and provide their order number and details of the issue.

We may request photographs or other reasonable information to assist with the investigation.

Any recommended reporting period does not limit statutory consumer rights.

  • Use products according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  • Follow applicable installation and safety requirements.

  • Avoid unauthorised modifications that could create safety risks.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Vertex Industrial Solutions will not be responsible for losses caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control or by improper use of products contrary to supplied instructions.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for unsafe or defective goods, gross negligence, or mandatory consumer remedies.

27. Events Beyond Our Reasonable Control

Events such as severe weather, transport disruptions, natural disasters, widespread power interruptions, and other circumstances beyond our reasonable control may affect fulfilment.

We will communicate material delays and take reasonable steps to minimise disruption.

Customers retain their rights under applicable law, including rights relating to non-delivery.

28. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
